My wife and I restore Steinway pianos for a living. Well mainly anyways we restore everything actually but we are booked out about 3 years on pianos. This is known a Louis Steinway Circa around 1910-1917. This full grain filled finished Mahogany piano took FOREVER for us to complete. It was such an extensive restoration we did probably 5 or so black satin Steinways at the same time. This piano was painted white with all the carvings painted gold. It was really really ugly. The lid was broke in half even. Now you can't even tell it happened and that it's even the same piano. What a pain in the ass this one was. Some of our best work ever went into this oldie.

Doing some repair and finish work on a 9' $289,000 Bosrndorfrr Concert Piano. This piano got damaged on its way here from Austria Germany. It fliped over on the plane and It landed on its side with the corner. Cracked it down the side by the brass decal/emblem beneath the taped section running vertically from top to the bottom. Not an easy fix but we work on many pianos so it wasnt to bad. I repaired the crack by drilling holes down the length of the crack then filling them with super strong epoxy then I matched the black high gloss Polyester finish. SUPER hard finish. This is not your typical finish either but I do every type here at my Shop in Duluth, Ga.

Here is a set of doors we just done for a client in Buckhead Ga. Front doors can be tricky. We'll because they are someone's front doors. So timing is everything on these type jobs. We picked them up mid day on a Friday. Applied 3/4 inch plywood to secure the home. Painted black. Took these back to the shop stripped and refinished both sides. Interior side was a nice brown Mohogany color. The outside was really weatherd badly. These were getting to a critical point with nothing left of the exterior finish to protect the Mohogany from starting to change in a irreversible manner. There's never a perfect time to do front doors this I've learned over the years. I've done many many sets of doors. These were gunna go bad really soon. So the had to be done very soon. Or they would start to go south pretty quickly. Anyways we picked them up Friday mid day worked all weekend and finished both sides beautifully and brought them back Tuesday morning. Done! Ready for another 10-15 years.

Here is a table we are doing for a well known designer here in Atlanta. This table was used by their client for years with her two daughters from eating breakfast before school to drawing and coloring when they returned home. It was banged up pretty good. Deep stains in the paint to missing corners from shoes. The gold stencil was all but gone really. Her daughters are all grown up now and she wanted to bring her table back to life. I'm sure she has many beautiful memories setting around this table with here girls. So we made it beautiful too match. These kind of jobs are a big reason why I've taken what I do so seriously. Just awesome!

Here is a fall board for a 1917 Mohogany Steinway piano. It has the period correct decal that I've applied. Now I will wet sand it out starting with 800 grit sand paper working up to 5000 then polish it. You won't be able to feel it. Flush with the finish. Then it will be done! Crazy amount of work involved in just the fall board on the old beauty. Pictures of the whole piano coming very soon. This particular piano was painted twice. Once with grey primer then white with gold accents. That was not original either. This was stain grade originally. You see the craziest stuff doing this type of work sometimes. But its back to Beautiful for this Steinway.

Here is a table a customer named Wendy asked me to do for her. My before pictures aren't too good but the finish was failing in several area's and bleached from sun exposure. We stripped it clean then put a light stain on it to bring out the Cherry grain. We then applied 4 coats of piano Lacquer on it with a light sanding in between coats. Tightened up the legs now it's as good as new.

We are polishing some ultra high end Plexiglas designer's pictures that got damaged in delivery. So I will hit these with 3M 5000 Trizact Foam Disc's then polish them out to a Super clear shine. There are 4 in total.

I just put a clear coat over the Steinway gold painted plate for a Steinway A model. It's just like new now. Ready to go...
