Hey everyone! Welcome to Tuesday Tips! 🌟

So, something happened last week that's been playing on my mind, and I just have to share it with you all. I was in urgent care with my little one (don't worry, she's all good now 😊) and we had this tiny moment that was actually kind of huge.

We're waiting our turn and the nurse calls us in. My daughter pops up from her seat like a mini superhero. We enter the room and the nurse throws me this look and she asks, "Can she speak for herself?" And I'm like, "Of course, she can!" The nurse chuckles and says, "I knew it. The way she got up when I called her name, I knew she was intelligent.”

It's been on my mind because, well, isn't that interesting ? How you show up, the vibe you give off, it says so much before you even utter a word. My baby has insecurities like all of us, but at that moment, why did she show up as her most confident self?

👀 Ever think about that in your own life? Like, at work, when you're hoping for that promotion or when you’re applying for a job. Are you walking into the room ready to own it? Or are you holding back a little?

Here’s one piece of advice I wish someone had shared with me early on: 🗣️ Don’t hang around checking every conventional box before you leap at that stretch role. Too often, we assume we need to fit a certain mold or meet every single criterion before leveling up. But the truth is, growth happens when we challenge ourselves and step outside our comfort zones, even if it means moving up, over, or out.

➡️Case in point: Once, a newbie CEO—who had zero management experience—questioned why I felt I deserved a promotion. The nerve! He was greener than I was, in both credentials and experience. It took every ounce of my willpower and possibly heaven’s army to keep me from asking him how he landed his gig without any leadership chops. 🤔😇

This moment was more than just an eye-opener—it was the push I needed. Why question our readiness for bigger things? Once I embraced that mindset, opportunities started blooming everywhere, proving that sometimes, we need to think beyond the checkboxes.
