Dundee Fire Department This is the official page of the City of Dundee Oregon Fire Department. This page will be utilized We are a small combination (paid/volunteer) department.

We have career day staff of four personnel with a compliment of 20+ highly qualified/dedicated volunteers. We are always looking for volunteers and welcome out of district volunteers. We operate on a shift style arrangement where volunteers sign up for shifts and stay at the station. We ask for four 12-hour shifts, plus a total of 48-hours of weekend shifts a month. We provide fire and emergency m

edical (non-transport) service to our city and to the rural fire district (13 square miles) under a long-standing contract for services. We provide mutual and automatic aid response to our neighboring districts (Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and other Yamhill county agencies). Currently, we are actively participating in a feasibility study for a possible consolidation with neighboring agencies. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out. You can call us at 503-554-8442 or email [email protected] or [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!

Early this morning, our water tender deployed as part of the Yamhill County Task Force to the Grasshopper Fire. A/O Todd Dallof and FF Ellis are the crew on the tender. Capt. Jeff Myers also deployed as an Engine Boss.

We’re still super active across the state. A few hours ago our water tender was deployed as part of another Yamhill County Task Force. They are joining Chief Hamilton (already deployed with OSFM Incident Management Team) to assist with efforts on the Brewer Fire in Prineville.

Rest assured, we’re still staffed at home to handle any calls for service that may come. Being able to deploy and remain staffed home is made possible by receiving the Wildland Upstaffing Grant through the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s office.

Please keep the fire service members, their families and the many communities affected by these fires in your thoughts and prayers!

It’s been a busy week with fires across our state, to say the least!!

Last week we deployed an engine to the Evans Creek Fire in Shady Cove. They returned home safe and sound yesterday mid-day.

A couple of hours ago we deployed again, with a brush rig on the Yamhill County Task Force to the Hagen Complex Fires in Umatilla County. They are expected to arrive around 10:00 pm and will receive their working assignment then.

We are excited, humbled, and honored to once again receive this vital grant that allows us to hire additional temporary staffing during fire season.

This single program has probably had the biggest positive impact on the Oregon fire service in recent memory for many different reasons!

Thank you Oregon State Fire Marshal for your continued support with these funding opportunities!
