Marge McGregor has been the heart of this vineyard since she and Bob founded it in 1971. She turns 89 on July 17th and we can't think of a better way to honor her and celebrate this milestone than gathering together at the winery!

Sunday Social: A Pre-Summer Celebration!

Join us at McGregor for a fun pre-summer gathering and celebration! We are hosting a Sunday Social on June 14th and hope you can make it. The event is open to both members and nonmembers of our wine club.

Your ticket comes with a free glass of either our new 2025 Rosé d’Cabernet Franc or 2021 Pinot Noir Reserve. This rosé is a brand new bottling and we are excited to release it for you to enjoy at the Sunday Social. Did you know that McGregor Vineyard produced the first Rosé made from Cabernet Franc in the Finger Lakes? Our first vintage of this refreshing wine was in 2000.

Looking to elevate your afternoon? Treat yourself by upgrading to our premium ticket option! Enjoy a decadent slice of strawberry cake featuring rich chocolate ganache filling, strawberry buttercream, and a chocolate ganache drizzle alongside your Rosé or Pinot Noir- they’re perfect compliments! We highly recommend reserving this premium ticket in advance- extra slices of cake will be very limited at the Social…first come, first serve! This delicious cake is created by Rumsy’s Delights of Naples, NY.

We will be hanging out in the tasting room and enjoying Wine Club member Jerry Smith’s music on guitar starting around 1pm. We have wine by the glass specials all day long and our kitchen will be open for tasty food plates until 4. Your ticket is good from 12 until 4 so come whenever you’d like. Our patio tent and outside front deck will also be open to enjoy.

This week, the wine world is celebrating Sauvignon Blanc and we've got something special to add to the conversation.

Our 2024 Sauvignon Blanc is McGregor Vineyard's very first vintage of this world-beloved variety. This wine was released last year and received quite the enthusiastic welcome! As with all our wines, it's estate grown and produced. We’re super excited to have this varietal added to our wine list and are thrilled to be pouring it as the world raises a glass and cheers the deliciousness of Sauvignon Blanc in all its diverse expressions!

What’s ours like? Think citrus and gooseberries...lean, crisp, powerful, mineral driven, and completely Finger Lakes.

The 2025 Vintage White Wine Preview a few weeks ago was an incredibly satisfying event. The wines are outstanding and attendees were so happy to be the first to sample and purchase them at a great discount. It very quickly became clear that we should offer this opportunity again before the wines get bottled up in June. So here we go…if you couldn’t make the first round of tastings, sign up for one of the sessions we are offering on Saturday, May 2nd!

This is an incredible opportunity for you to sample and purchase our 2025 vintage white wines (and one rosé) before they are bottled and released! Included in the tasting is our first “Reserve” designation of Riesling in over a decade and our second-ever vintage of Sauvignon Blanc.

The beautiful wines are presented with a plate of local cheeses and foods to enjoy during the tasting. We are not treated to a vintage like 2025 very often, this is not an event to miss!

John McGregor is presenting the wines at 1pm and 3pm. This is a great opportunity to learn about McGregor Vineyard as well as to taste what makes the 2025 vintage such a standout.
