About the Cover Page Photo -
The photo on the cover page is actually a picture of my brother-in-law (deceased) who was a Vietnam war hero. Here he is seen receiving a combat metal of honor in 1967. He was effectively honored stateside where he received a silver metal of honor and a bronze star. I submitted three photos to my editor at Dorrance Publishing Inc. The first depicted a Tuskegee Airman, the second was a photo of one of my best friend’s father in training during WWII and the third was the aforementioned. They decided to select the above photo because it best fit the spirit and intent of the novel. I am happy I didn’t have to select between the three. But I am also proud of their selection.
