We’re using Aerial Radiometric Thermography to study the surface layers of a snowpack and the nearby rock; where the solar warming is the most concentrated causing the snow crystals to lose their coherence and start sliding.

I'm hoping that this data will be helpful to develop actionable insights for an avalanche early warning system.
