Choctaw Small Business Development is excited to announce Brandi Burkhalter as the Choctaw Small Business Advisor for District 09.

Brandi graduated from Atoka High School. She earned an associate’s degree in art from Murray State College, a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from Southern Nazarene University, and a master’s in Native American Leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Brandi also obtained a professional certificate in Sustainable Tourism from George Washington University.

Before joining the Choctaw Nation, Brandi worked as the Executive Director for the Lake Texoma Association for nine years, where she promoted tourism to the Lake Texoma Region.

She is located at the Chahtapreneur Business Center in Durant. We are happy to have Brandi on our team!

Choctaw Small Business Development is offering a five-part Financial Wellness and Business Success Series through CSBD SkillBridge, designed to support business owners at any stage.

🌟 Session 3: Learn the Three Phases of Finance Framework will take place on April 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM.

This session will help business owners understand the three phases of the finance framework and how each phase supports stronger financial decision-making throughout the life of a business. Participants will leave with practical insight they can use to better manage money, plan ahead, and support long-term business success. Each session in the series builds on the last, but business owners may attend individually.

Attendees may join in person at the Chahtapreneur Business Center in Durant or online from anywhere.
