Across the country, NeighborWorks America and its network organizations are helping create stronger communities by expanding access to affordable housing, promoting financial stability and creating opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.

And the impact is real. In 2025 alone, NeighborWorks and its network delivered $11.64 billion in total investment across the country, helped 17,600 people become new homeowners and supported nearly 48,700 jobs nationwide.

NeighborWorks America Week is here, and we’re proud to celebrate the power of communities coming together to create more opportunities for everyone.

At REI Oklahoma, that work looks like helping families become homeowners, expanding access to affordable housing and connecting people with the tools and education they need to build long-term stability.

In 2025 our housing programs helped 141 families become homeowners—89% of them first-time buyers—and created more than $30.4 million in impact through our Down Payment Assistance Program. We also supported multi-family housing projects serving 101 individuals and families across Oklahoma.

NeighborWorks Week is a reminder that strong communities are built together and we’re grateful to be part of that work every day.

We loved being part of this Home Buyer 101 Workshop!

Last Saturday, Alyssa from REI Oklahoma had the opportunity to share resources and information about programs that help make homeownership more attainable and affordable for Oklahomans.

Representatives from the Oklahoma APEX Accelerator, Oklahoma Small Business Development Center, SCORE Mentors and REI Women’s Business Center will provide information on how their respective organizations can assist you to start your business.

The U.S. Wage and Hour Division will provide information explaining their role and deliver practical guidance regarding paying employees properly, maintaining required records, providing eligible workers with family or medical leave and much more. We look forward to seeing you!

Earlier this month we were proud to have our Business Lending Loan Officer, Racheal, speak on a panel at the Greater Oklahoma City Asian Chamber of Commerce Limitless Business Conference.

She joined the conversation to help answer questions about Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and how they can support business owners with access to funding, resources and opportunities to grow.

Events like this are such a great reminder that small business owners don’t have to figure everything out alone and that the right support can make a big difference.
