ICardinalBlue 🇺🇸 – Leading the Fight to Repeal Utah’s Proposition 4

At ICardinalBlue, we didn’t just show up — we delivered. Our team proudly gathered well over 1,000 signatures in support of repealing Utah’s Proposition 4. As Republicans, we stood firm in our belief that government must remain accountable to the people and rooted in constitutional principles.

Proposition 4 was originally passed as a voter-approved independent redistricting reform. However, many conservatives felt that its implementation shifted too much authority away from elected legislators — the representatives directly accountable to voters — and into the hands of an unelected commission. From a Republican perspective, that raised serious concerns about transparency, constitutional balance, and preserving representative government.

We supported repeal because:

• Accountability Matters – Elected officials answer to voters. When redistricting authority is moved away from legislators, it can weaken direct democratic accountability.
• Constitutional Authority – The U.S. Constitution grants state legislatures authority over elections. Many conservatives believed maintaining that structure was essential.
• Preventing Judicial & Bureaucratic Overreach – Republicans often advocate limiting unelected bodies from holding binding power over core governmental processes.
• Protecting the Legislative Process – Redistricting is inherently political. We believed it should remain in the hands of those elected to make political decisions, not advisory panels with unclear enforcement power.

Our campaign was about more than signatures. It was about defending the framework of representative democracy and ensuring that voters retain the ultimate authority through the officials they elect.

At ICardinalBlue, we believe grassroots action wins. Gathering over 1,000 signatures demonstrated that conservatives across Utah were engaged, motivated, and ready to shape the future of their state.

This was not just a petition drive — it was a movement grounded in principle, faith in the Constitution, and commitment to Republican values.

Currently working on the Utah campaign to repeal Proposition 4, a voter-approved initiative that shifted congressional redistricting authority away from the state legislature and into an independent commission. Since launching petition efforts in 2020, this has become iCardinalBlue’s most successful campaign to date, driven by strong voter engagement, growing statewide momentum, and opening the door for a stronger, more successful future ahead. This is just the beginning.

Current Asignment in Florida.
The ballot summary is as follows:
“Allows adults 21 and older to possess, purchase, or use ma*****na for non-medical consumption. Establishes possession limits. Prohibits marketing and packaging attractive to children. Prohibits smoking and va**ng in public. Maintains prohibition on driving under influence. Applies to Florida law; does not change, or immunize violations of, federal law. Allows Medical Ma*****na Treatment Centers to acquire, cultivate, process, transport, and sell ma*****na to adults. Provides for creation of licenses for non-medical ma*****na businesses.”

In the November 5, 2024, election, Florida's Amendment 3 to legalize recreational ma*****na received approximately 56% of the vote, falling short of the 60% supermajority required for constitutional amendments.

04/08/2025

In Miami-Dade County, Black individuals accounted for nearly 60% of misdemeanor ma*****na arrests, despite making up only 18% of the population . Similarly, in Broward County, Black individuals represented 69% of ma*****na possession arrests . These figures suggest that racial disparities in ma*****na arrests persist in Florida.

Florida’s 2025 Ma*****na Petition: Why iCardinalBlue Supports It

A major push for cannabis reform is happening in Florida, with a 2025 petition aiming to legalize recreational ma*****na for adults. If passed, this initiative could open the door for economic growth, social justice reform, and expanded access to cannabis for responsible use.

At iCardinalBlue, we believe in progress, freedom of choice, and the benefits that a well-regulated cannabis market can bring. Legalization means more jobs, tax revenue for community programs, and an end to unnecessary criminalization. It’s time Florida moves forward.

We stand behind this petition and encourage everyone to stay informed, get involved, and make their voices heard. The future of cannabis in Florida is in our hands. Let’s make it happen!

Here are five common reasons why people may choose to vote Republican:

Economic Policies: Many Republicans advocate for lower taxes, less government regulation, and free-market capitalism. Voters who support these policies may feel that they encourage economic growth and job creation.

Limited Government: A core Republican belief is that government should be smaller and less intrusive in people's lives. Voters who value personal freedom and autonomy may align with this principle.

Conservative Social Values: The Republican Party tends to hold more traditional views on issues like marriage, abortion, and religious freedom. Voters who prioritize these values may be drawn to the party.

National Security: Republicans often emphasize a strong national defense and policies to protect the country from external threats. Those who prioritize security and defense issues may vote Republican for these reasons.

Second Amendment Rights: Republicans generally support the right to bear arms and oppose restrictions on gun ownership. Voters who prioritize Second Amendment rights may vote for candidates who align with this stance.
