Volunteers Needed for Retinitis Pigmentosa Type 11 Research
If you have the genetic mutation PRPF31 that causes Retinitis Pigmentosa (type 11), you may qualify to take part in a paid research study.
The study is researching how RP11 affects patients long-term. There has been little research done on how to measure the effects of the disease over time. The sponsor of the study, PYC Therapeutics, is developing a potential treatment for RP11 but must first obtain information about how to measure the progression of the disease. There is no treatment involved in this study, but there may be an option for you to join a treatment study that is part of the same PYC program later.
This study is four years long with assessments approximately every 16 weeks for the first year and every 24 weeks for the next three years.
There is no cost to study participants. A stipend may be provided for each round of assessments, and travel and lodging may also be provided (or reimbursed for local travel).

If you do not see a site that is near you, please reach out to the listed “Study Contact” for assistance.
