After our recent move from Hudson, Ohio to Durham, NC, it just figures that I pick up two new clients back in Ohio. This week I flew back to Hudson for two days of meetings with Alpha Technologies. Then I spent a day touring Bio-Med Science Academy for work on their website. The flight home - with connections at O'Hare - took longer than if I had just driven. Sigh.

Catch-Up Post #3: At last! Proof that I can provide Cradle to Grave copywriting services. Earlier I wrote about the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit at Virginia Hospital Center. In December-ish, I provided website content and copy for Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. Content included a 100-year timeline, Burial and Interment Options and profiles of the owners, now in their third generation of stewardship of Columbia Gardens. The assignment was through Bradshaw Communications in Alexandria.

Catch Up Post #1 - I worked on Donor Profiles and Articles for Holy Cross Hospital and Virginia Hospital Center, for their Fall 2017 Community Magazines, both through Bradshaw Communications in Alexandria, Virginia. VHC Articles for VHC included Colorectal Surgery using the da Vinci XI surgical robot, Shingles Vaccine, Nurse Practitioners, Breast Health and the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

As Clorette DePasto said to Pinto when she got to the party at Animal House, "I've got a lot of catching up to do!" AKA the story of the shoemaker's children. Things got busy, which is very good for a freelancer. But it's not so good for keeping up with my own postings on LinkedIn and other social media. So, for the next few days I'll be trying to get my activities back up to date. Please bear with me. It's been a fun ride.

I have recently completed writing the 2016 Annual Report for Fairfax Renaissance Development Corporation. What an inspiring organization! Opportunities for economic development, community, and quality of living abound. Fairfax is Cleveland's renaissance neighborhood. This is my 10th year of writing the AR, and working with Michelle and Roger Fairfax at 4th Quarter Associates.

I'm back at work handling executive speech writing and video scripting for Kay, Jared and Zales Jewelers for their national manager's meeting. This is my 11th year on the assignment, thanks to Impact Communications. The past couple of years I was able to get additional insight from my daughter, Jen, who worked at Jared. She has since moved on (and gotten her MBA!) and so now I have to pay closer attention at all the input sessions.
