Story time from Mollie!
We're starting a kitchen remodel. I reached out to 6 designers via their preferred method two weeks ago. As of today:
2 responded within 24 hours and I've had actual conversations with
1 of them actually listened to what we wanted 😅 (let's call her "Tricia")
1 emailed 7 days later
3 have yet to respond at all....two weeks later
Guess who I didn't go with? Well obviously not the 3 who never bothered responding at all. Definitely not the one who took 7 full days to answer (and no, there was no out of office message or apology for the delay).
Still wasn't the person who (while they were quick to respond) barely listened to anything I said and contradicted most of our requirements (which were, by the way, nothing crazy like an indoor water feature or something!).
It was "Tricia" who 1. responded quickly and 2. liiiiiistened and understood (not mentioning the obvious 3. had solid proof of work and competency)
The simple (and easy!) things for a business to win clients are so very often the most overlooked. Don't be like those guys - be like Tricia!
