NOTICE
We will be closed Christmas and the day after Christmas so that our employees may spend time with their families.,
We are changing our hours on Wednesdays to reflect winter time. Instead of 11AM to 6PM, we will be open from 10AM to 5PM. We will change back to 11AM to 6PM when the time changes back to Daylight Saving Time in March.
General refuse is 10 cents a pound for member towns. Member towns are Amity, Crystal, Dyer Brook, Hammond, Hersey, Island Falls, Merrill, Moro Plt., New Limerick, Patten and Smyrna.
For non member towns general refuse is 20 cents a pound.
Prices:
General refuse, wood, wood debris & tires- 10 cents a pound members, 20 cents a pound non members
Refrigerators and air conditioners-$15 members, $30 non members
White goods- $3.00 members, $6.00 non members
Televisions, computers, monitors- $5.00 members, $10 non members
Fluorescent tubes- 15 cents per foot members, 30 cents per foot non members
Mercury lamps- $1.00 members, $2.00 non members
Waste oil is free.
Recyclables of tin cans, #2 plastic and cardboard are free. We do not have a market to recycle glass, magazines, newspapers and paper products.
Hours of operation for the public are:
Tuesday- 9-4
Wednesday- 10-5
Saturday- 8:30-4:30

As of June 1st, 2022 general refuse is 10 cents a pound for member towns. That is up from 7 cents a pound due to the increase in operating costs. Member towns are Amity, Crystal, Dyer Brook, Hammond, Hersey, Island Falls, Merrill, Moro Plt. Smyrna, New Limerick and Patten.
For non member towns general refuse is 20 cents a pound.
