Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office Training Division hosted this three days course for first responders. I have no other course like this one. It was three days of laughter and learning skills that helps us grow stronger mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually to respond to calls and situation more effectively with less harm. Thank you to all the dispatchers, correctional officers, sheriff deputies, and police officers for attending. Now, "Acknowledge Me!"

I created this course back in 2010, but for some reason, I never promoted it across the country. Instead, I modified it and added it to my Child Death Investigation training. So, for 15 years, I've been teaching only a portion of these course. I recently updated the manual and PowerPoint presentation, and will begin to promote this course to agencies across the country. Depending on the statistics that you read, burn injuries account for 10 - 14% of all child abuse cases, and burn injuries are the sixth leading cause of accidental deaths for children. This will be two day of intense training on a topic that is prevalent in child abuse. If your agency would like to host this course or any of my courses, please send me a message. Thanks! We have to be careful with our children

A watchful neighbor’s quick thinking is credited for identifying an alleged child abductor who is accused of snatching a seven-year-old from her bed in November. https://tinyurl.com/2a3blu8p

It is with heavy hearts, profound sadness and grief, that Chief Tony J. Crisp and the Maryville Police Department announce the passing of Corporal Nate Robinson this morning.

Nate, 33, joined the Maryville Police Department in 2013 and was promoted to the rank of Corporal in 2022. He was a Field Training Officer and a member of our SWAT team. Nate passed away December 20th, 2024 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Please keep his family, his friends and co-workers at the Maryville Police Department in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
