Hi collectors!! Please see the first tooling sample images for the new 1/16 Case 2670 tractor. I’m going to share a bit of information regarding the unit.

This has been a very interesting project in the fact that it has a tremendous amount of angles involved for the sheet metal. We still go out and measure each antique model that we produce so it does challenge the mind a bit.

Some of the features include an opening hood, opening door, detailed interior and 3 point hitch with quick attach. As all of you know one of the features of the real tractor was “Crab steering”. To accomplish this, we had no choice but to tie the front wheels together and the rear wheels together with a long “tie rod”. It is hidden as best we could, but you can see it. The front and rear wheels are not tied together; they act independently so you can give the model a “crab steering” look.

You will notice that the steps are not included on the unit yet, these were separate parts not included on the images.

Disclaimer: Dalton Farm Toys released some images of the model last Friday when we had it at the National Farm Toy Museum for their board to review. The first unit is being made for the National Farm Toy Museum and Jason happens to be on the board so apparently his phone got the better of him. The images we are showing today are the first official release of images.

In closing, we hope you enjoy this model, it was a great model to design and produce. Happy collecting.

Good afternoon, I wanted to post on here to clear some air so to speak.... I broke my own rule and we put the Allis Chalmers B10 model on display at the Summer Farm Toy Show as well as photos on Facebook. To clarify: This model is almost nothing like the final unit will be. The Hood will not open because the real one did not due this. The front end has been changed dramatically to better represent the real unit as well as levers oversized and wheel sizes and spacing are wrong. I Could go on forever. I certainly do appreciate your comments in the fact that everyone is pretty correct regarding the issues this early model has. I hope this helps with Allis Chalmers blood pressure issues and rest assured that it has been picked apart pretty hard so we get it right. The only issue that i'm still having trouble with is the front axles. If this was a toy it would have these big heavy things so they wouldn't break. In a model, the detail has to be better so, we try and find a happy medium to help control breakage. If for any reason you ever see a Spec Cast product that has a part that looks that way feel free to know that it's because of manufacturing limitations and breakage. Thanks and happy collecting. ~ Steve VonHandorf
