She never outgrew crayons. Orange and purple were just following orders: Dare to be Bold.
When this talented cross-stitch artist brought us her Halloween village, she had one dilemma: orange frame or purple frame?
We asked, “Why not both?”
She loved the idea.
Originally, the piece was only going to hang during Halloween. But once she saw the finished frame, she laughed and told us it was staying up all year long.
The decision made perfect sense after hearing her story.
Since she was six years old and first started wearing glasses, she’s embraced color. While some people tried to blend in, she chose colorful frames and spent a lifetime celebrating the things that made her stand out. Along the way, she adopted a personal motto:
Dare to be Bold.
You can see that philosophy in everything she creates.
From whimsical witches, pumpkins, and potion bottles to charming Christmas villages filled with holiday magic, her cross-stitch work is vibrant, joyful, and unapologetically colorful. Every stitch reflects the same spirit she’s carried throughout her life: embrace color, have fun, and don’t be afraid to stand out.
In the end, orange and purple weren’t competing after all.
They were simply following orders.

And thanks to one bold framing decision, Halloween is staying on display long after October has passed.
