Colorado County Household Hazardous Waste & Recyclable Materials Collection Day – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26th.

Colorado County is hosting a one-day collection event for their residents for household hazardous waste (HHW), used electronics, tires, and some other recyclables from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26 at the Colorado County Fairgrounds. The location is 1164 Crossroads Blvd., Columbus.

This event is made possible through the Houston-Galveston Area Council and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

🗑️ CITY OF EAGLE LAKE GARBAGE PICKUP REMINDER

TODAY — Wednesday, September 9 is our REGULAR TRASH PICKUP DAY. Collection takes place between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

🚛 REGULAR TRASH
• Please have your trash carts at the edge of the street/ curb no later than 7:00 AM.
• Please ensure lids are closed and there is no overflow of garbage.
• Avoid putting loose trash in the poly carts.
• Damaged poly carts can be replaced by calling City Hall at (979) 234-2640.

🛋️ BULK / HEAVY / LARGE ITEMS
Bulk and heavy items may also be placed at the curb for collection. Please remember that two separate trucks are used for collection. Regular household trash and bulk/heavy items may not be picked up at the same time.

• Tree limbs will be picked up 4 yards at a time.
• Avoid setting tree limb piles next to street signs or poly carts. Please allow for the grapple arm to reach the items.

Bulk and heavy items are collected with a grapple truck every THURSDAY.

🚨 MISSED PICKUP?
If your regular trash is not picked up by the end of the collection day, or if you have questions or concerns regarding your service, please contact City Hall at (979) 234-2640 as soon as possible so we can report and address the issue.
