Northwoods Animal Alliance was founded by a caring group of animal lovers and advocates with a desire to make a difference for companion animals in our area.
We are excited to use decades of combined diverse animal experience to launch local programs that can provide resources for these animals and their owners.

Oneida County Humane Society is in ‼️Code Red ‼️ with large dogs.

We have 1 available kennel in our large dog room❗️ which needs to stay open for stray dogs.

Many other open intake shelters in the US are struggling.

We have many large dogs looking for new homes. We cannot take any more dogs in until the ones we have find their place.

OCHS does NOT euthanize for time or space but our list of dogs needing placement is getting longer and longer.

We do our very best to keep the pets in our care happy but the shelter is still not a home. 🏡

🟥 Become a dog walker- many of our dogs are large and strong- we are seeking walkers that can manage them.

🟥 You can also help OCHS by looking for the families of healthy, friendly stray dogs before coming to OCHS. Knock on doors. Place up flyers. Post their picture on social media. If you need supplies, we can get them to you.
