- Screen Vents and Openings: Cover vents, chimneys, and other openings with rodent-proof mesh or screens.
- Secure Food Sources: Store food in airtight containers, including pet food, and keep garbage bins tightly sealed.
- Remove Clutter: Eliminate piles of debris, firewood, or yard waste that can serve as hiding spots.
- Trim Vegetation: Keep shrubs and tree branches trimmed back at least 3 feet from your home to prevent access.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Regularly clean areas like basements, attics, and garages to minimize nesting opportunities.
- Inspect Pipes and Utility Lines: Seal gaps around pipes, electrical lines, and HVAC systems with durable materials.
- Repair Damaged Screens: Fix tears or holes in window and door screens promptly.
Rodent Reduction & Elimination
- Use Bait Stations: Opt for tamper-resistant bait stations to ensure safety and prevent access by non-target animals.
- Choose the Right Tools: Always use appropriate bait boxes paired with effective and safe rodent bait for optimal results.
- Gradual Population Control: With consistent use, you’ll notice a significant reduction in the rodent population around your home over time.
- Tailor to Your Needs: Most homes benefit from at least one bait station, though larger properties or severe infestations may require multiple units.
