Let’s talk mantels for a moment. With winter coming this mean more time spent by the fireplace. Do you have a mantel? Are you in love with your mantel. If not, let’s talk about what your options are.

Below is a freshly milled Spaulted River Birch mantel. It’s currently 6’4” in length, 7-8” wide on the ends, 13” in the middle, & is 7” thick. This can cut down to any length or thickness. Live edge can also be be cut off.

Check out these pretty sycamore slabs that are for sale. They’re full of character & color. They will make great table tops, desks, coffee tables, countertops etc.

What an absolute blessing and great way to start the morning off by having Bob & Mike come out. We are excited to see the Cherry dresser Mike is going to make as well as the Cherry Mid Century liquor cabinet Bob is going to make from their inspirational pictures. Time will tell what is made from their sycamore lumber!!

We are working out the kinks of our new and bigger bandmill. Customer had an oak tree that died. Customer decided to have .tree cut the tree down and have us mill it into 2.5” slabs live edge both sides. These slabs will now air dry for 2 months before going into the kiln.

(For those who don’t know Monty Button started Adel Tree in 1990 and his son Jeff now owns and operates Adel Tree. We are family owned and operated through and through)

We at Bear Creek Hardwoods are in love with the creativity, talent, dedication and time that are put into each and every project. Here Karen and Becky (our mother daughter duo) is using the Wood-Mizer EG200 to create true straight edges on both sides of each board. These boards are from an ash tree which will then go on to become flooring for a client!
