So, I typed the word "kindness" into my iPhone photo search.
Every image that came up was a child.

My nephews. My friend's kids.
Kids I love. 🥰 ♥️
And then, me and my brother. Little. Before I learned to be hard on myself.

My phone already knew what kindness looked like.
It wasn't a size. It wasn't a stage. It wasn't an achievement. It wasn't a perfectly managed to-do list.

It was a child. And I thought, why can it be so hard to extend that same kindness to myself?

What does kindness look like in your camera roll? I'll share a few of mine. Feel free to share a few of yours in the comments.

A text came in. My heart dropped.😱

I'm booked. Like — already committed, others counting on me, no wiggle room — booked.

And for a second I thought: I can do this. 🧩

Then that voice in my head said: Ginine, be real. No, you can't. 😥

Then the "Shoot...how did I let this happen?!" thought zipped through my brain.
Then the quick scan of everything I'm already juggling.
Then, the self grace...
I am carrying too many thoughts. Juggling too many balls. That's what happened.

So I stopped and I asked myself:
Can I move something?
Can I ask for help?
What can drop?
What can shift?

We've all been here. The question is, the last time you were, did you go into guilt and shame and stay stuck? Or did you break into curiosity and creative solutioning?

My "bounce back" was under 3 minutes.
I worked it out. Because I dropped the shame and the guilt, and instead was kind to myself.

Moral of the story.
Drop the nasty self-talk. Kindness is a better problem-solving space than shame. Every time.

You've done the work. And you're still circling the same patterns.

Not because you lack effort or intention. Because real change doesn't happen in isolation. And it doesn't happen by accident.

It happens when you pause long enough to actually see yourself clearly.
When you're surrounded by people doing the same hard, honest work. When the environment shifts and suddenly the habits that felt permanent... don't.

That's the Long Arc Journey.

It's depth over speed.
Connection over content.
A community of people committed to breaking cycles, shifting patterns, and building a life and legacy that actually aligns.

Backed by neuroscience, proven tools, and facilitated by people who are walking their own long arc, not just talking about it.

Brandon, Ahmed and I are intentionally building the next cohort. The relationships formed here tend to last well beyond the program. That's by design. If something in this is pulling at you it's worth a conversation to explore it.

Most people leave a training with a page full of notes and zero follow-through.

Not because they weren't engaged. Because the ask was too big.

Here's what I do differently 😀

At the end of my workshops, I have people stand up, find someone new, and answer three things:
→ What was a conversation that stuck with you today?
→ What idea or insight came from it?
→ What is the ONE action you're committing to — and who are you telling?

That last part is the ripple.

When the process is that simple, you're more likely to survive the boring middle, the space between inspiration and actual change.

One conversation. One insight. One action.
Shared.

That's the Power of One™ in practice.

▶️ Catch the clip — I break down exactly how I use this approach.

The weight of the day-to-day is real. 🏃🏽
The to-do list that never ends. The feeling of always being behind.

But I came across a quote this week that I can't shake, "...the small stuff IS the stuff."
Not the obstacle in my way of something bigger.

The small stuff is often what enables "the main event."
The client who finally got it.
The conversation that went somewhere unexpected.
The quiet win I didn't see coming. 🌟

It's a million little drops of love that fill the whole cup. 🫶
As my fortune said, "You do not have to worry about your future."

Who's another solopreneur that needs to hear this today?
Cause please... let me know I am not alone!

Memorial Day always makes me pause.

Not just for the barbecues and the long weekend, but for what it actually asks of us.

To remember. To honor. To not let sacrifice become background noise.
My mother always says, "Never underestimate the power of one, it's the number that changes everything." She means it about people. About impact. About the single life that shifts the course of others.

Today I think about all the ones.
The individuals who made a choice, took a stand, and gave everything. Often without knowing the ripple they'd create.

That's worth more than a moment of silence.
It's worth remembering and encouraging us all to consider how we can too stand up and show up in a way that makes it all worth it.

Towards the end of 2021, my colleague and friend Artrell asked me to attend a conference with him. I declined. It wasn't the right time. But I asked him to keep me posted on how it went. When he got back, he shared his experience attending Gamicon. With great enthusiasm, he said, "Ginine, you have to go to this next time, it's right up your alley!"

A few months later, I decided to attend a smaller version in Orlando, Florida. It was at that 2-day pre-conference session that I earned my Level 1 Gamification credential and attended a mini-session of The Box Experience.

That Power of One conversation with Artrell has rippled into
🏅 Gamification Master Craftsmen (Level 3 Gamification) credentials
💡 The Power of One™ framework as a topic of keynotes, leadership development, and experience design
📚 Contributing to a book: GameChangers: Learning Experience Done Right

Last week, I started the next phase of my Brain by Design® certification. We're reading Feel Good Productivity by Ali Abdaal.

Then I came across this quote from James Clear:
"The well-designed life lasts longer than the disciplined one."

It got me thinking about the world I live in — where companies invest real money in training their people. We teach new concepts. We practice. We roleplay. In my workshops, we weave in brain-based concepts and game mechanics.

And then we send people back to the same environment that makes the old habit the easy choice.

That's the gap nobody wants to talk about.

Skills training matters. But if the system around it doesn't change, the behavior won't either.

At KnowledgeForce Consulting, that's the work we push clients toward , not just building skills, but building the conditions where those skills actually take hold.
That's what Training Reimagined® means in practice.

As I wind down the week, I keep thinking about how informative and fun ICF Coaching Week 2026 has been!

What started as one WhatsApp message calling for an ICF Coaching Week presentation shifted into a casual conversation.

That conversation resulted in one collaborative action. That led to a 75-minute exchange with IFC coaches from 5 countries!

Check out a snippet of the Power Of One™ Intentional Moments in Coaching session.
Where I share a real-world example of how to move coaching into everyday moments at work.

Let's keep stacking our power of one moments — as my mother loved to remind me as a little girl...

One is the most important number.
It's the number that changes everything!
