Today, November 14th is World Diabetes Day. This years theme is diabetes & well-being.

I saw this yesterday, after the long holiday weekend. It received great play globally.

I believe Novo Nordisk will create a flow of other GLP-1 manufacturers to research and submit an NDA for either Chronic Kidney Disease or Kidney Failure death reduction. I know I would.

To be fair to pharma companies, most drugs never get to the phase of FDA approval and can cost over $1 billion to bring the products to patients, so new indications help pay for lost research. On the other hand, though, healthcare costs are killing everyone so a middle ground must be found.
