Did you hear that?? It's the sound of a relieved seller when I told her SHORT SALE APPROVED!! It's an unfortunate situation. I hear so many times that people are too embaressed to tackle this head on. I just had a client that waited too long and got foreclosed on. They called me three weeks prior to the foreclosure, not enough time. The bank see's it as a bail attempt. I have gotten many foreclosure sales cancelled or postponed to close a short sale, but I need more time than that. People can get a new start on life with a short sale, not a foreclosure. That only leads to bankruptcy, and that's if you even qualify for that! Once you close on a short sale, you can be a homeowner again in the future because the rest of your credit will help you with that. If you, or anyone you know is going thru this, call me. Short Sales..We've all heard of them. We all know someone that has had to deal with this unfortunate situation. When someone has to do it, it's usually for a reason out of their control, job loss etc. I have seen the biggest fear is where are we going to live, and how are we going to pay for the move and upfront rental money. Well, good news. The short sale banks can give the money for that. It used to be up to $3,000. It has been upgraded to up to $10,000. This is money you will get at closing for cooperating in a short sale and not letting the home go to foreclosure. If you, or anyone you know is dealing with this, you need to know this and tell anyone else dealing with a short sale situation.
