Our QCC team had an incredible time collaborating with the 82nd Street Partnership for a wonderful Back-to-School Event! Families and children enjoyed a festive summer afternoon filled with free school supplies, treats, and valuable community resources.

Thanks to the generous vendors and community partners, nearly 400 pairs of shoes and free backpacks were distributed to children in our community! 🙌

The Queens Chamber’s Banking & Law Committee continued its annual tradition of holding its August meeting in person during US Open Tennis Championships Fan Week! 🎾

This year, we brought together committee members, chairs, and co-chairs from across the Chamber for an afternoon of cross-committee networking, collaboration, and joint event planning—all while enjoying the American Express Fan Experience, lively music, and the excitement of the US Open.

A special shoutout to Daniel Gonzalez, our new Manager of Committee Development, who joined the group and helped bring our committees together for this great opportunity to connect and collaborate! 👏

🍽️ Member Spotlight: Danny also stopped by The Nourish Spot stand, owned by Chamber member Dawn Kelly and located in Backyard 17 near Stadium 17. This is their fifth year at the US Open—a fantastic milestone and a great example of Queens businesses making their mark on one of the biggest sporting events in the world! 🙌

QCC was proud to join forces with Fidelis Care, Queens Women's Chamber of Commerce, NYPD 115th Precinct, and other community partners for the inspiring "Unity in Queens" event at Travers Park in Jackson Heights. ☀️

Families enjoyed a vibrant day of community connection, featuring health insurance information, family fan activities, face painting, K-9 dogs demonstration, free food and back pack giveaways.

As children and teens across the five boroughs prepare to head back to school, events like this remind us of the incredible impact we can make when we come together to support our communities. 🙌

Our VP of Business Development, Brendan Leavy, had a great visit with valued QCC member S&L Aerospace Metals, LLC in College Point, meeting with Max Wang, VP of Operations, and Inga Lopez, VP of Sales.

S&L employs roughly 100 full-time employees, including engineers, machinists, and other skilled professionals, and manufactures helicopter landing gear used by the U.S. military.

And they’re growing! S&L Aerospace is currently hiring engineers and machinists. If you’re interested in joining their team, reach out to Max Wang at [email protected].

The streets of Astoria were filled with energy and smiles for the 6th Annual Back to School event, hosted by Comunidad Latinx Inc. in collaboration with the Queens Chamber of Commerce, the NYPD 114 Precinct, and the NYPD Outreach Division! 🎉

Families and children enjoyed a festive summer afternoon filled with free school supplies, fresh haircuts, delicious food, treats, games, prizes, and valuable community resources.

The celebration also recognized the achievements of local graduates, dedicated volunteers, and community leaders who continue to make a difference.👏

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our students for a successful school year! 📚✨
