We are deeply saddened by the passing of former Connecticut Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman. A dedicated public servant and tireless advocate for Connecticut, Nancy devoted her career to making a difference for the people of our state. Her leadership, compassion, and commitment to public service will be remembered for years to come.

Nancy Wyman started her political career on the Tolland Board of Education before winning a legislative seat in the 53rd House District, which she held from 1987 to 1995. She then served as comptroller from 1995 to 2011 before her role as lieutenant governor from 2011 to 2019.

Office of Governor Ned Lamont today announced that the Governor is ordering all State of Connecticut executive branch office buildings closed to the public on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to the major winter storm that is impacting the state.
