Ok, the State of Connecticut has finally gone FULL idiot!!!!!

Governor Malloy has proposed his new State budget and low and behold, there is a PROPOSED increase for State of Connecticut Pistol Permitting fees!!!!

The proposed increase would take the current fee to the State from $70.00 every 5 years to $300.00 every 5 years!!!!! This represents an approximate 400% increase!!!!!

While this budget has not yet been approved, I highly doubt that it will not be. Therefore NOW MORE THAN EVER is the time to take your required training class and apply for your Pistol Permit BEFORE / IF this goes into effect.

Currently the average cost for a citizen of the State of Connecticut to obtain a pistol permit including the cost of the required training and local and state fees is approximately $325.00 - $350.00 complete. However, should this change be implemented, the average cost to obtain an initial pistol permit within the State of Connecticut will be approximately $590.00 - $610.00 as there will also be an increase in the cost of the required background check.

As I said earlier in this post, the time is NOW to take the required training course and apply for you pistol permit BEFORE these changes occur. Therefore I am announcing the I personally will be teaching a Pistol Permit Certification class on SUNDAY 04 MARCH, 2017 at our East Hampton, CT. classroom.

STATE of CONNECTICUT SECURITY OFFICER LICENSE ISSUANCE CHANGES:

Effective 01 July, 2016 the State of Connecticut Special Licensing and Fi****ms Unit of the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection has changed the regulations related to the issuance of a "Guard Card" or more commonly referred to as a "White Card".

Prior to July 1st. an individual would register for and complete the required Basic Criminal Justice Training Course (Which we offer) and then apply in person to the Special Licensing and Fi****ms Unit in Middletown where they would recieve thier License in a "Provisional" manner which meant that they would issue the license following a NCIC (Basic Records Check) immediately with a letter stating that a full background check would be completed and should nothing come back no further communication from the State would be required.

Under this system, the individual who had applied and obtained this license would be able to start working for a licensed security company immediately. However now that the regulation has changed, NO LICENSE will be issued to any individual prior to the full completion of the background check which currently take 8 - 10 weeks!

What this means is that any person who is either interested in or required to work for a security company will NOT be able to do so until they have recieved thier license from the State and the Security Companies will no longer be able to hire any person who does not ALREADY have thier Security License.

Grey Wolf Consulting is currently registering students for our upcoming certification classes and encourages everyone to consider completing this program and and obtaining thier CT. Security Officers License just in case.

Grey Wolf Consulting is hiring!

Grey Wolf Consulting, LLC is currently seeking individuals for a pilot program called the Grey Wolf Virtual Sales Force.

Under this pilot program, any accepted individual would be provided with all of the necessary equipment to act as Independant Sales Reps for Grey Wolf Consulting.

This position is considered casual in that there are no "Quotas" to meet and the amount of money which can be made is directly linked to the level of activity the rep engages in.

New Grey Wolf Portable Target Stand Update:

On Sunday 12 June, 2016 during a custom training course, the new partable target stand developed by Grey Wolf Consulting was run through the paces.

The stand was outfitted with a standard upright shaft (Target Holder) and AR400 steel target. The objective of the testing was to determine the overall stability of the base.

After multiple rapid strikes with 9mm, 40s/w, 45acp and 12ga slugs the strand performed better than anticipated.

At no time did the stand demonstrate any lack of stability and transport / set-up was also as expected.

The only issue found (Which was expected) was the spring tension on the legs was insufficient to allow for full opening without assistance. However, new heavier springs have been ordered and will be installed in the coming days.

**IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**

We have just recieved official notification that the NRA will be changing the way the Basic Pistol Class (The program required to apply for a pistol permit within the State of Connecticut)!

They are / will be requiring individuals who wish to complete this program to use there new "Blended Learning (Online) format and will be charging an additional fee ABOVE and BEYOND what the required instructor fees are.

They are projecting this fee to be in the area of $60.00.

Now for the really bad news.........

There is still no official statement from the CT. State Police regarding this new program and as such there is a serious question as to whether or not this new program will be accepted. However, unofficially we have been told that it is unlikely that this new program will meet the training requirements which are outlined in State Statutes.

NOW MORE THAN EVER IS THE TIME TO COMPLETE YOUR TRAINING CLASS AND APPLY FOR YOUR PERMIT, BEFORE THE DISRUPTIONS BEGIN OVER THE REQUIRED TRAINING COURSE.

Grey Wolf has scheduled a class for 28 February, 2016 and there is still room. Contact us if you would like to register.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - PLEASE SHARE THIS POST WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW!

Because of some recent changes sheduled to take place within the next 3 months with the NRA Basic Pistol Course which is currently required for applicants of a Pistol Permit within the State of Connecticut. There is a growing concern over whether or not the State will accept the new training format for Permit Applicants.

Unfortunately at this time information from both the State and the NRA is limited, however while there is NO CONFIRMATION that there will be any disruptions in the ability of people to apply for a permit to carry, under the current regulations the new format which is being implemented by the NRA is not acceptable and it is reasonable to anticipate a potential delay.

Therefore, Grey Wolf Consulting will be hosting our State of Connecticut / Multi-State Pistol Certification Course which will still be accepted on SUNDAY 28 FEBRUARY, 2016 at our EAST HAMPTON, CT. CLASSROOM.

The fee for this class is $90.00 per person and pre-registration is required on or before 14 February, 2016

NOW IS THE TIME TO COMPLETE THIS PROGRAM AND APPLY FOR YOUR STATE OF CONNECTICUT PISTOL PERMIT! Before any potential disruptions.
