$75,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

Dzen Commercial Roofing is a family-owned commercial roofing contractor serving Connecticut. We specialize in EPDM, TPO, and commercial roofing systems, building long-term relationships with our customers through quality workmanship, responsive service, and integrity.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Estimator to oversee commercial roofing projects from initial customer contact through project completion, and warranty closeout. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing projects, building customer relationships, and taking ownership of every phase of a project.
The ideal candidate has experience with EPDM, TPO, ISO insulation systems, commercial reroofing, repairs, and preventative maintenance and can confidently manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
• Respond to customer inquiries and schedule site visits
• Perform roof inspections and field measurements
• Read blueprints, specifications, and bid documents
• Prepare detailed estimates and proposals
• Submit competitive commercial bids
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, property managers, general contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers
• Coordinate material pricing and order materials
• Pull permits as required
• Schedule crews and deliveries while adjusting for weather and project conditions
• Monitor project progress and communicate with customers throughout the project
• Manage project documentation, change orders, and closeout paperwork
• Coordinate manufacturer inspections and warranty registrations
• Prepare project billing information and final documentation
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably
Qualifications
Required
• Minimum 3–5 years of commercial roofing project management and/or estimating experience
• Experience with EPDM, TPO, PVC, ISO insulation systems, commercial repairs, and reroofing
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to safely access and inspect commercial roofs
• Experience reading blueprints and construction drawings
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing materials and installation methods
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software
Physical Requirements
• Ability to safely climb ladders and access commercial roofing systems for inspections.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, including ladders, roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand for extended periods while conducting roof inspections and site evaluations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred
• Experience with manufacturer warranty programs (Carlisle, Firestone, GAF, Johns Manville, etc.)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Compensation
Salary Range: $75,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience.
Performance Bonus: Eligible for annual performance bonuses based on project profitability, customer satisfaction, and overall company performance.
