The Global Business Club serves as a critical bridge linking Michigan exporters and allies with a wealth of university research-driven resources, often available to the business community at no cost. We maximize our ties with Michigan State University's highly acclaimed Eli Broad School of Business and the International Business Center (IBC), led by Dr. Tomas Hult, Byington Endowed Chair and Profe

ssor of International Business. IBC’s offerings to the business community include the market-rich data mine of globalEDGE. We are dedicated to supporting global business growth tied to Michigan and its diverse corporations. More than 14,000 small- to-mid-sized Michigan businesses exported in 2014, and the Global Business Club helps to amplify this trend through workshop programming, a luncheon speaker series, networking opportunities, and digital resource-sharing through e-newsletters and other communications. The Global Business Club is cosponsored on an annual basis by Foster Swift Collins & Smith, Lansing Community College, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Michigan Business Network, the MSU Center for Advanced Study of International Development (CASID) and the MSU Center for Gender in Global Context. Sponsors for individual events include and a range of other export-minded organizations. While events are open to the public, consider taking full advantage of what the Global Business Club has to offer through a membership. For more information about membership, or to simply be added to our mailing list, please call Trade/Outreach Specialist Jade Sims, MBA, at 517-353-4336, or e-mail her [email protected].

Applications are now open for One&All, a new, inclusive entrepreneurship program from LEAP, generously funded by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation Innovative Fund and Consumers Energy Foundation.

The initiative, the first of its kind in the state of Michigan, aims to address inequity in entrepreneurship and small-business ownership by supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs who fall below the ALICE threshold during the most vulnerable time of the startup process.

LEAP is proud to partner with The Fledge, Refugee Development Center (RDC) and Michigan SBDC to reach aspiring entrepreneurs from traditionally underserved populations including people of color, women, persons with disabilities, immigrants, military veterans, racial or ethnic minority groups and refugees.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Read the full release and fill out an application here: https://www.purelansing.com/application-for-leap-oneall-inclusive-entrepreneurship-program-open/
