Cold damp rainy Sunday so good time for some bench work. Restoring this DPU1 back to coins / credit. Someone in the past modified for free play by what I call the “ hacker method”
The stop pin on the subtract solenoid was bent upward and away from the gear. While open we cleaned the grungy wiper ring, cleaned contacts and replaced timing relay with a fresh cap.

Recently this 1015 was purchased by a collector in Hong Kong from a seller in New England. The buyer was unaware that the machine needed some help and contacted us for repairs.

The machine was crated and shipped here where we discovered the mech was froze solid, and the after market tonearm and cartridge were also damaged.

Yesterday we finished the repairs and put it back in the specially designed crate for the long trip to Hong Kong.
