This past weekend our crew had the opportunity to teach the Wildland fire Merit badge to a Boy Scot Troop from Harford Co MD. Fantastic experience for all involved. If you know of a troop looking to do the merit badge, reach out and we’d love to assist. Additionally after one of our members returned from a summer roll with a PA T2IA crew we added a Minnesota sticker to the battle bus! Crewmembers have supported operations in 13 states now

This morning 3 MopShots participated in honoring the Sept 11th victims. This was the 5th Lancaster Memorial Stairclimb that the crew has had a team of climbers. Thank you to everyone who donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation thru the crew team page. (Photos from Alexis Coulby)

It’s that time of the year again for our membership acceptance. Sept-Dec is the only time we accept new members for the following year. This is to ensure all members are properly trained, have yearly refresher training and Work Capacity Test (pack test) before spring fire season starts. Our meeting for September is on Sunday at 1800 at our station. If you’re interested in joining a crew of hardworking and motivated individuals come check us out! We continue to support PA DCNR’s Penn Fire out of state crews with an average of 6-8 deployable personnel every year, and added a Minnesota sticker to the bus for an out of state assignment this year by a member.
