Summer heat can sneak up fast on the jobsite. ☀️
As temperatures rise, it’s important to keep crews hydrated, protected, and aware of the early signs of heat stress.
Signs to watch for can include thirst, irritability, heat rash, cramping, dizziness, fatigue, and heavy sweating. More serious warning signs may include confusion, disorientation, slurred speech, fainting, or loss of consciousness. If those severe symptoms appear, cool the worker immediately and call 911.
A few reminders for every jobsite:
• Hydrate often
• Wear proper PPE
• Take shade breaks
• Watch your crew and check in often
