For more than 17 years, founder Devon Moody has helped entrepreneurs start, grow, and scale their businesses. Through The Biz Spot Community, this work has expanded for over 12 years across the greater St. Louis and East St. Louis region, providing training, resources, and opportunities that help people build stronger financial futures.

Today, we’re raising funds to expand access to business and technology training for individuals who are ready to build careers, launch businesses, and step into new opportunities.

It’s Give STL Day, and this year The Biz Spot Community is raising funds for REWIRED: Closing the Digital Skills Gap.

We’re working to help residents in the East St. Louis and Metro East area gain access to technology, digital skills, and career pathways in areas like AI, cybersecurity, data analytics, project management, and more.

Funds raised will help provide:
• Chromebooks and tech access
• Internet hotspots
• Training support and workshop resources
• Opportunities for people to skill up and not be left behind in the future of work

This is about access.
This is about opportunity.
This is about making sure our community is prepared for what’s next.

CEO in Training: Youth Entrepreneurship Boot Camp

Ready to spark the next generation of innovators, creators, and leaders?

CEO in Training is a hands-on, high-energy entrepreneurship boot camp designed to teach youth how real businesses actually work. This isn’t just about ideas—it’s about turning everyday problems into real solutions that create value and can make money.

Participants will learn the three core foundations of every successful business:
Problem. Solution. Customer.

🔹 What to Expect

This boot camp is designed with two age-specific tracks to meet participants where they are:

Ages 8–13 (2-Hour Session)
Young participants will:
• Learn what a business really is in simple, relatable terms

• Identify real-life problems from their daily environment

• Turn a problem into a creative business idea

• Understand who their customer is and why it matters

• Begin exploring the concept of value

Ages 14–18 (2-Hour Session)
• Breaking down a business into problem, solution, and customer

• Defining their value proposition (what makes their idea stand out)

• Understanding basic revenue concepts

• Building a simple business model

• Practicing how to pitch their idea with confidence

Our CEO in Training Boot Camp turns ideas into real business concepts in just one session. We teach youth how to think like owners, starting with one simple truth:
👉🏽 A business solves a problem, creates value, and serves a real customer.

From spotting everyday problems to building solutions and learning how money is made, participants don’t just learn… they execute.

Two Sessions:

10am-12pm
🔑 Ages 8–13: Build confidence, creativity, and their first business idea

1pm-3pm
🔑 Ages 14–18: Develop structure, define value, and learn how to pitch like a CEO

They leave with:
✔️ A real business concept
✔️ Clarity on their customer & value
✔️ A workbook to keep building
✔️ The mindset to lead, not follow
