You may notice a new last name. I recently got married and updated my name. While the name is new, I’m the same person, with the same experience, relationships, and commitment to supporting nonprofits and foundations in their growth.

I continue to partner with mission-driven organizations to strengthen strategy, build capacity, and create sustainable impact.

At this time, I have availability to take on one new client who is ready to grow thoughtfully and intentionally.

If you or someone in your network could benefit from a trusted partner for growth, I’d love to connect.

Thank you for being part of this journey

I just had a wonderful meeting with a member of the Resiliency Project. I am confident that by working together, we will help improve the lives of Hmong children and families.

This is where my passion and the potential for impact intersect. It is my favorite place to be.

What an amazing year! I am so grateful for the opportunities I have been given to help organizations grow and succeed this year.

Like so many businesses, I have been faced with rising costs that have prompted me to increase my rates for 2023. This increase will allow me the freedom and flexibility to continue to support organizations as they reach their goals.

2023 Rates:
Consulting: $150/hr, minimum of 20 hours
Project: $68/hr
Initial Consultation: Free

Please note, that I will not be able to take on new contracts until February 2023.

NPR's Mary Louise Kelly talks with professor of medicine at Harvard Lisa Iezzoni about a new study that finds some doctors don't want patients with disabilities.

I spent the last month being very angry about my son, Zach's, lifelong healthcare needs being dismissed. He finally has help and is doing well. We are both consistently sleeping through the night for the first time in 18 years.

I spent the last couple of days thinking about how to turn my anger into advocacy. I decided to get my certification in patient advocacy. I took the initial exam this morning and passed. I can now submit a full application and take the board certification exam in the Spring.

My goal is to provide patient advocacy specifically to people with disabilities in order to improve their health outcomes. This is the only service I will provide directly to people as my business focus is to assist organizations. I think this is important enough to change my business model a bit.

I am so close to Zachary. So close that when he breathes, it is my chest that goes up and down. I know him. For so many years, no one believed me. No one believed me until the day he didn't breathe and my chest stopped going up and down. It should never come to that. I know I can help.

The forgetting of the history of marginalized groups is both a cause and effect of their marginalization.

“If you’re a good person, doing things you want to do is the same as doing good.” — Tony Johnson - After Life

I was hired to consult on a pilot project aimed at improving mental health outcomes for people who score low on a social determinants of health scale. The circumstances of your birth are still a driving factor in the circumstances of your life in America...and the health quality of that life.

I am so fortunate to be able to do good things.

I am currently working with an incredible organization that is seeking to impact the isolation, stigma and lack of resources Hmong communities experience when it comes to youth mental health.

Hmong families generally rely on elders to lead the family when there are mental health concerns. Unfortunately, these same elders have been scarred from the trauma of persecution and genocide which occurred after the US pulled out of Vietnam. They were our allies then and we must be their allies now.

I have done a lot of research and spoken to many individuals and organizations, but I also have connected friends... Leave a comment and let me know who you think I MUST speak to about this to gain a better understanding of the needs of the Hmong communities in Wisconsin.

I met with a new client last week and this organization's spirit for helping people with addiction issues shone through clearly in every employee. They are truly living their mission. I am excited to aid this group of dedicated treatment workers in helping people live healthier lives.

The adorable dogs on-site didn't hurt either. 😍
