Tom Lederer (Technical Inside Sales Rep & Territory Sales Manager for The Collins Companies) along with Notch Mechanical’s Chris Harris, Mike Forest, and Dave Squires participated in the 22nd Annual CHD Cancer House of Hope Golf Tournament on Monday Sep 14th.

The event serves as the largest fundraising effort of the year for the Cancer House of Hope, a program operated under the Center for Human Development. It was a beautiful weather day and fun break in the action from the PVF world.

A year ago, our lives changed forever when we lost one of our best friends Jamie Nickerson in a tragic accident.

Since then, Amy Nickerson has honored Jamie's memory in the most inspiring way possible by creating a foundation dedicated to combating distracted driving and saving lives.

This past weekend, The Collins Companies was privileged to sponsor lunch at the inaugural JLN Eyes Forward Foundation Golf Tournament. The event brought together family, friends, and supporters to celebrate Jamie's life and the incredible impact he had on so many people.

There were plenty of smiles, stories, laughter, and yes, some tears. Most importantly, there was a shared commitment to ensuring Jamie's legacy continues to make a difference.

We will never forget the amazing husband, father, friend, and person that Jamie was!

Our Niagara Controls Territory Sales Manager, Melinda Livingston, attended the Chips and Bricks meeting this past week, bringing together many of the key players involved in the massive Micron project in Central New York.

Celebrating Over 30 Years with Collins — Happy Retirement, Tom!

Today, we’re celebrating a truly special milestone at The Collins Companies as Tom begins his well-earned retirement after over 30 incredible years with us.

Tommy B holds a unique place in our company’s history. He was our very first employee in the state of New York, helping establish a presence that has grown to represent 20% of our total company sales today.

That growth didn’t happen by accident. Tommy B built lasting customer relationships through hard work, consistency, industry knowledge, and a genuine commitment to taking care of people. The impact of those relationships will continue to be felt for years to come.

Even after decades in the business, Tom never stopped adapting. When outside sales changed dramatically following the pandemic, Tom made the most successful transition to the new sales model of anyone on our staff — a testament to his professionalism, determination, and willingness to evolve.

Tommy B, thank you for taking a chance on Collins 32 years ago. Thank you for helping build our New York business from the ground up, for representing our company so well, and for everything you’ve contributed along the way.

You helped build something that will last.
