Marta Ceroni at R3.0 Transcending Incrementalism conference: ”50 years ago, Donella Meadows’ The Limits to Growth was asking complex questions about what would happen and what would be the shape of the curve once those limits are met.”

Then “The variables that led to collapse needed to be shifted quite significantly to avoid collapse. Collapse was built into the industrial model…[This book] was about accepting these deep truths and activating choice…”.

Then “Projections showed if choice was deployed at critical moments, stabilization would be possible… But economic policymakers, government and scientists collectively rejected this research in favor of technology.”
