Good evening!

We hope you will join us for a Reiki Infused Paint Party with Dawn Tarr-Scott on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Trespassers Will at Hundred Acre Wood, LLC. This event is appropriate for all ages.

Dawn’s sample is shown below, this is what we will be working on. Each participant will paint their own “Fox in the Snow” to keep.

Class fee includes all supplies, lite fare, and refreshments - and of course, friends and Holiday Cheer!

Wrapping up all of the many details to get Shauna to Oklahoma for farrier school. It’s a long journey, but it will be worth it! It’s been a pleasure working with M. Holden Warren and The Arabbers Preservation Society, and also Sean Losee and The Maryland Farrier’s Association who miraculously pulled together almost everything Shauna will need in the way of tools, apron, hoof stand, toolbox, and even an ANVIL!! Two weeks ago, we would have had to purchase everything when we arrived, so this is such a huge and unexpected blessing.

Thank you to our Board of Directors and all of our many Advisors for believing in what a Youth Empowerment Program can do! Thank you for your help. We are just getting started!

Carlton Street Stables update -

Good morning! We have been taking a break from Wednesdays and Sundays in order to work on organizational challenges, and to line up students and clients. Shauna and I will be gone from 7/17-8/1 to FARRIER SCHOOL IN OKLAHOMA 🪅🎊🎉, and after that, we will resume our regular schedule of Wednesdays 10-4, and Sunday Fundays 1-2 times per month. Our next Sunday Funday is Sunday, July 4th, 12-4.

I will be in the city tomorrow morning for meetings, so please let me know if you’ve been needing to talk to me about lessons, or camps, apprenticeships, or to my CSS folks, anything at all. Always happy to see you all. I’m missing the yard, missing the people and the ponies there too.

We are poised to do some great things out of Carlton Street Stables, ssshhhh, magic is afoot!

Do you know about ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience) and PCE (Positive Childhood Experience) scoring? This is helpful for anyone who works with people - or anyone struggling with their own with childhood trauma (adults express and relive their traumas).
