Together with , farmers spent the day at the Urban Farm Incubator learning food safety the hands-on way: wash-rinse-sanitize stations, water source checks, worker hygiene and on-farm risk assessments to take back home.

We teamed up with and to bring a mini farmers market straight to hospital employees, and it was a hit! 🎉

From fall squash and pumpkins to crisp apples, broccoli and homemade jams, employees stocked up on Maryland-grown goodness. Many even asked for more local products in the cafeteria. 🙌

Moments like this show what’s possible when farms, local businesses and institutions work together: fresher food for our community and new markets for the farmers who grow it. 🌾

Join CAIC’s first-ever in-person workshop: Post-Harvest Handling & Wholesale Readiness: Part Two.

In collaboration with , we are excited to host an in-person Produce Safety 101 Field Day as part of CAIC's Wholesale Success and Strategies for Produce Farms event series!

Join expert food safety trainers Ruth Tyson and Kimberly Raikes to learn practical best practices covering soil amendments, worker health and hygiene, wildlife and domestic animals, and FSMA requirements.

The day also features a guided tour of the Urban Farm Incubator site with Jon Berger to see these practices in action!
