𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧❗
I want to keep it 💯💯
Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of building some incredible new relationships, but I have also experienced the loss of a few. But every now and again, someone comes into your life who just gets you.
This year, I have watched as some people have walked away, or perhaps I should say distanced themselves. The reasons are irrelevant. What matters is who is still standing when the dust settles.
That brings me to Jevata. I first met her as a panelist for our very first LadyBoss Summit in 2024, and she has been one of my strongest supporters ever since. She was one of the people to whom I gave access to my manuscript and encouraged me to just end the hesitation and publish my last book. She has been one of the few individuals within my circle courageous enough to provide wise counsel and to confront me about my shortcomings when necessary. You don't find that kind of honesty often.
But the moment that hit me the hardest was after an event we held that was, quite frankly, not a success. I was leaving, heading home, feeling the loss. Who pulls up just to show support? Jevata. That kind of support stays with you.
That is why today, even though I completely messed up my schedule, I had to be there. For some reason, I thought her event started an hour earlier than it did. By the time I realized my error, my schedule was tight, and I knew I would have to leave early. But I made it my priority to show up, even if just for a moment, for someone who has delivered for me on so many occasions. Presence matters more than perfection.
This post is a thank you, but it is also a huge congratulations. SHE did it. She published her dream, and I could not be more proud. What is even crazier is that she trusted my recommendation for a publisher, connecting with another incredible supporter of mine.
This is what true connection is all about. It is not just about who you know. It is about who grows with you.
Congratulations, Jevata. Thank you for being you.
