“We started Stillwaters with the goal of providing honest, reliable service while treating every home like it’s our own. As a local family raising our children in Eastport, we know how special this community is and how important it is to have businesses you can trust.

Eastport has always been home to us...from the small-town charm to the support neighbors show one another- and being able to serve the families and businesses here means everything to us. Thank you to our community for supporting local businesses like ours. We look forward to continuing to grow, serve, and give back for years to come! “

Growing up in a semi-rural farming community in Australia close to the water and then moving to the US was a culture shock. But bringing my business to Eastport feels just that little bit more familiar. A bit more like the community culture I grew up with. It wasn’t a decision based on number crunching it was a decision based on being welcomed!

Queen Bee Bakes started off smaller. As a professional baker of 26 years, I spent over 2 decades of that time working for others.

But life changes. Circumstances change. I slowly began to branch out into doing my own thing and was lucky enough to be able to call Jerri’s Cakery and Confections my home base while growing my own business. When I helped Jerri move the Cakery to Eastport, I immediately knew this was it. This was where I belonged. Where I felt welcome enough to grow my fledgling business into something to share with this community.

Queen Bee Bakes is located inside of Jerri’s Cakery & Confections where she offers fresh breads, sourdough, cookies, marshmallows and more, handmade with love in Eastport.

“ I grew up right here in Eastport, just a few houses from where Duck Walk is today, and I always knew this is where I wanted to plant my roots. I wanted to continue teaching in a Montessori classroom, and even more importantly, I wanted my own future children to grow up in one.

I truly believe that a Montessori foundation in the early years sets children up for lifelong success. The independence, focus, and love of learning they develop prepares them beautifully for the more structured classroom settings they’ll experience later on. When I began searching for a Montessori environment locally, I realized the closest options were quite a distance away, so I decided to open my own right here in Eastport.

Today, I’m so proud to have built this program, and even more grateful that my own two (soon to be three!) children get to be part of it every single day!“

Duck Walk Montessori is a Montessori-based daycare and preschool that nurtures the growth of children cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically. Throughout the day they create many different opportunities for children to learn through play using different age-appropriate activities and materials, and offer flexible schedules to accommodate your family.

I wanted to bring something that truly adds to the community, not just operates in it. ”

HOTWORX is a gym that offers infrared sauna workouts that combine exercise, heat, and infrared energy. The workouts are designed to help people burn calories, detoxify, and reduce stress. Great for working off the holiday calories.

Eastport’s Main Street is so beautiful and special, making it the perfect place for us to expand. Being here allows us to welcome familiar faces and give new people a place to get strong, feel supported, and become part of something meaningful. The Pilates Space is more than a workout, it’s a community built on strength, resilience, and connection.”

The Pilates Space is a boutique Pilates Reformer studio that offers group classes and private sessions, with locations in both Eastport and Center Moriches. When all of the calories from the holidays need to be burned off, you can stay local to burn them off. 😊
