🇺🇸 25 Years Later — Eaton Remembers

A quarter-century has passed since the events of Sept. 11, 2001, but the courage, sacrifice and unity witnessed that day remain part of our nation’s story.

On this 25th anniversary, the City of Eaton pauses to remember the lives lost and the families forever changed. We honor the first responders who displayed extraordinary bravery in the face of unimaginable circumstances and the members of our military who served our nation in the years that followed.

Sept. 11 also reminds us of the importance of those who answer the call to serve right here at home.

The City of Eaton is proud of and grateful for the dedicated members of our Eaton Fire & EMS Division and Eaton Police Division. Day and night, these men and women stand ready to respond when our residents need them — protecting lives, helping neighbors and serving our community.

We extend that gratitude to first responders throughout Preble County, as well as our veterans, active-duty military personnel and their families.

Today, we remember the fallen. We honor service and sacrifice. And we thank those who continue to keep Eaton safe.

May we never forget. 🇺🇸

Eaton Community Schools will honor first responders tomorrow, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11/01, with free admission to Friday night's varsity football game.

THANK YOU for another wonderful season at Main Street Aquatic Center! It was another summer full of lasting memories. For some, it was all about first experiences and for others it was about yearly traditions. Having a facility like the Main Street Aquatic Center here in Eaton is a blessing and we're grateful for all it provides to this community and the entire county and beyond. We're also incredibly thankful for the team of employees, primarily high school and college students, who dedicate their summer to providing the safest, friendliest atmosphere - from the smiling face working the main gate to the lifeguards and concession workers - we appreciate all of you! See you on Opening Day 2027 (May 31st)!

☀️💦 That’s a wrap on another pool season at Main Street Aquatic Center!

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their summer with us — and a special thanks to all the pups and their people who joined us for the annual Labor Day Doggie Dip! 🐾🐶

While pool season may be over, fall fun is right around the corner! 🍂🎃

This Labor Day, the City of Eaton recognizes and thanks all those whose hard work, dedication and service help keep our community moving forward each and every day.

From the employees who provide essential city services to our local businesses, educators, health care workers, first responders, tradespeople, manufacturers and everyone who contributes their time and talents to our community — thank you for all you do.

Eaton is a stronger community because of the people who work here, serve here, build here and call it home.
