06/11/2026

The final leg of Leadership Preble County Cohort 10's Education & Quality of Life Day took us to New Paris, where we continued exploring the unique destinations and experiences that contribute to Preble County's quality of life.

Following a wonderful lunch at Brick Rhod Bistro in Lewisburg, the cohort visited the New Paris Antique Mall, where Chris Reke, President of the Preble County Convention & Visitors Bureau, shared insights into the many attractions, events, businesses, and recreational opportunities that make Preble County a great place for both residents and visitors.

From there, we hopped aboard golf carts generously provided by Natural Springs Resort and toured this hidden gem in the heart of Preble County. Natural Springs offers camping, cabins, swimming, fishing, special events, and outdoor recreation opportunities that attract visitors from throughout the region.

The afternoon continued with visits to The Cedar Coffee, the Tiny Home Village, and The Cedar Lodge, where participants learned how vision, entrepreneurship, tourism, and community partnerships are helping shape the future of New Paris. These destinations demonstrate how creative thinking and local investment can transform a community and create experiences that draw people from near and far.

A special thank you to Chris Reke, Steve Adams. and Gerald Brubaker for sharing their time, knowledge, and passion with the cohort.

We would also like to recognize our Lead Sponsors, Kettering Health and Preble County Development Partnership whose continued support helps make Leadership Preble County possible.

As Cohort 10 concludes its final session, we're reminded that while destinations, amenities, and attractions certainly enhance quality of life, it is the people behind them who make the greatest difference. Throughout the day, we met individuals whose vision, hard work, generosity, and commitment to community are helping make Preble County an even better place to live, work, and visit.
