What a great apple orchard and there’s no entry fee! $5 for a HUGE bag of apples if they’re on the ground. Melissa, teacher of 17 years, took over the family orchard. Plan you visit. Next week is $1/lb pick off the tree!

Thanks to Derek Entrekin of Edwin Marie Web Design for this morning's feature presentation at BNI Chippewa Valley.

Derek's talk was on website maintenance and why it matters. A website isn't something you build once and forget about. Plugins go out of date, security holes open up, and Google stops sending people your way if the site isn't kept current. Derek builds sites, but a big part of what he does is keeping them secure and working long after launch.

If your business website hasn't been touched in a while, Derek is the guy to talk to. Great presentation, Derek!

Derek builds websites for small and mid-size businesses and handles the SEO, branding, and ecommerce side too. Lately he's been focused on SEO and AEO, which is getting your business to show up when people ask Google or ChatGPT for a recommendation instead of scrolling through search results.

If your website hasn't been touched in a few years or you're not sure anyone can find you online, this is a good one to catch. Visitors are always welcome. Looking forward to it, Derek!

Thanks to John DiSalle of Dove IT for this morning's feature presentation at BNI Chippewa Valley.

John's talk was "The Five Moments": the points where a business decides to change IT providers, and who in the room usually hears about it first. It gave everyone a clear picture of what a good referral for Dove IT looks like!

If you know a business owner who's frustrated with their current IT setup, John is the guy to connect them with.

Such an exciting morning at BNI Chippewa Valley today!

👩🏻‍💼Melinda Huth of Huth Insurance Services gave our feature presentation, the Health Insurance Showdown. She walked through Marketplace plans, Medicare, and the coverage options most people don't know they have, and made a confusing topic a lot easier to follow. Thanks, Melinda!

We also welcomed our newest member, Erin Trowbridge with Four Peas Consulting. Erin visited on Visitors Day last week and decided to join. Glad to have you in the chapter, Erin! 😊
