Congratulations to our newest Firefighter. Lance Klimek has been promoted from Probationary to regular Firefighter.
Lance has completed all his required training and then some. He has been a great addition to Township Fire Department - Station 5 Brunswick

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the deceased as well as the firefighters and officers who were on scene.

One person is dead and another is arrested after a house fire on 1020 Skyview Drive in Altoona. Link in comments.

May proved to be a busier month than April. Fires went down, crashes remained high, and phone crash detections are continuing. A couple of our mutual aid responses were for iPhone crash detections as well.

Thanks to our slower April, we are still on track to have fewer calls than last year both for Emergicare and Township Fire proper.

Hello, AC season. Before you cool down, make sure your air conditioner is set up safely. Plug window air conditioners directly into a wall outlet.

Many manufacturers do not allow extension cords. If they are allowed, use the proper type and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Congratulations, Finley!

We would like to introduce our newest firefighter: Finley O’Dell.

He comes from Eau Claire Wisconsin where he obtained his EMT and Firefighting certifications from Chippewa Valley Technical College.

Finley wanted to become a firefighter because he enjoys helping people. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, hiking, camping and fishing.

Some of you took this class last fall and had to keep your skills sharp in preparation for this certification. Everyone's efforts since joining the department have not gone unnoticed and are greatly appreciated.
