Dawn’s early career brought her experiences from across the United States, including Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina, Washington (state), and Wisconsin. On one of her paths along the way, she served as adjunct faculty at a university, where she believed that the course she took in graduate school could be improved upon for the benefit of future students. She redesigned and delivered the course, to the gratitude of students and the dean! Such is her nature, to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of processes and services to make meaningful improvements for enhanced customer value. Dawn has achieved multiple award recognitions and accomplishments over the course of her career, including national magazine publications, curriculum design, and publication for graduate-level and industry-expert educational content. She has been recognized as a national winner of the Dorland Health People Leadership Awards. Passionate about the improvement process, she has served several terms on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners and is currently serving as a state examiner for the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence. Dawn has successfully led two health care organizations on the organizational excellence journey with one achieving the top state level award; the other is well on their way to the same goal. She’s also active in community and professional organizations, including the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce (nominated for the Woman of Achievement Award), American Society for Quality (senior member and treasurer), and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She has achieved national certification as a Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence, which reflects her expertise in the Baldrige framework. Throughout her career journey, she has been passionate about delivering the very best of services to customers and patients, with the goal of achieving organizational excellence in all that she touches. Her work with each client enables her to move forward on that journey in partnership, committed to achieving best in class performance, long-term sustainability, and growth.
