We're growing our field team!

DeJong is hiring an experienced INSTALL WELDER to support the fabrication and installation of sanitary process systems at customer facilities across the country.

This hands-on position involves TIG welding sanitary stainless steel tubing and piping, interpreting project plans and P&IDs, and working alongside our field team to deliver safe, quality installations.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, values precision, and is comfortable working in industrial environments.

A few important details:
• Full-time position based out of Edgar, Wisconsin.
• Travel, including overnight stays, required.
• Experience with sanitary TIG welding is required.
• If not local to Central Wisconsin, must be willing to relocate to Central Wisconsin.

Ignoring process inefficiency does not keep costs flat.

It usually makes them harder to see.

Extra labor, slower cleaning, wasted product, inconsistent flow, difficult changeovers, delayed projects, and repeated troubleshooting can quietly become part of the daily routine. Over time, the team may stop seeing them as problems because everyone has learned how to work around them.

That is why process audits matter. They help identify what the plant has normalized, what is slowing production down, and where better design or planning could make the operation stronger.

Our take:

Plant optimization should happen before a major equipment purchase.

New equipment can help, but it may not solve poor flow, weak utilities, sanitation bottlenecks, inefficient piping, or a process that was never designed to scale.

In some cases, the better first move is understanding the real constraint before adding more machinery.

Start with the system. Look at what is slowing production down, where waste is happening, what the team has learned to work around, and where the plant is losing capacity.

The answer may still be new equipment. But when that decision comes after a full process review, the investment is more likely to solve the right problem.

Good controls are not just about automation. They help the operation run with more clarity and confidence.

We are inspired by practical engineering.

Not overcomplicated systems. Not equipment for the sake of equipment. Not designs that look good on paper but make daily production harder.

The best solutions are the ones that make sense in the real world for the people operating the plant every day. That means thinking through sanitation, access, maintenance, flow, utilities, safety, and long-term use.

Our engineers take an ownership mentality to each design. Each piece of equipment must go through an internal qualification process to earn its place in the system.
