Dukes County Sheriff's Office proudly supports the Red Stocking Fund as one of their selected Donations locations!

This holiday season, now through Wednesday, December 21, community members may drop off new, unwrapped toys at the Dukes County Sheriff’s Office Administrative building in the outdoor Red Stocking Fund drop box. We're so excited to welcome Mr. Connors' Programming and Technology Summer Session for the next few weeks in our old Reading Room!

In this class, the students will learn basic electricity with Scrappy Circuits, Innovation with Invention Kit, Programming, Digital Fabrication with 3D printing and more!

The class is currently at capacity, but feel free to come in and ask them questions about what they're making!

Sunday, April 11 begins National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week, and we would like to kick it off by recognizing the Dukes County Sheriff’s Regional Emergency Communication Center team. This picture contains just a few of our Telecommunicators, all of who work hard behind the scenes 24/7/365. They are the voices that answer calls to 911 from their fellow MV community members- they use their training to provide clarity and guidance under pressure, and send help on the way. We are proud and grateful to have a team who cares! Happy National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week!

Today is National Custodian Day, an annual day that not only recognizes the hard work it takes to keep public facilities in tip-top shape, but the PEOPLE who dilligently work to make sure schools, workplaces, and other public spaces are clean and sanitized.

2020 has shown us that custodians are among our first line of defense on the war on germs. So every day, but especially today, National Custodian Day, show your appreciation to the custodians who clean the office buildings or schools that you frequent. Their tireless work helps keep us all safe and healthy.

A new survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has found that some Americans are misusing cleaning and disinfectant products to prevent coronavirus. Some practices include misting their bodies with disinfectant and gargling bleach.
