Progress Over Perfection
There was a time when low self-esteem, depression, setbacks, and failure felt like they were writing my story. I spent years doubting myself, questioning my worth, and wondering if things would ever get better. The truth is, healing wasn’t instant, and success didn’t happen overnight.
Fitness changed my life, not because it made everything perfect, but because it taught me resilience. Every workout became a reminder that I could do hard things. Every rep taught me to keep going when I wanted to quit. Every setback showed me that failure isn’t the end, it’s part of the process.
I have a point to prove and an axe to grind, but not with anyone else. With myself. With the version of me that once believed I couldn’t. With the doubts that told me to quit. With the fears that tried to convince me I wasn’t enough.
Even now, I’m still a work in progress. I still have hard days. I still battle self-doubt. But I’ve learned that showing up matters more than being perfect. Some days I train my body. Some days I train my mind. Most days, I train both.
If you’re struggling, know this: you don’t have to have it all figured out to start. You just have to take the next step.
Let Tough Lovey Training walk beside you through every victory, every setback, and every comeback. Because this journey isn’t about perfection, it’s about refusing to give up on yourself.
I’m not competing with anyone else. I’m becoming the person I promised myself I’d be. ❤️🖤💛
