Nothing makes you the coolest guy at the party quite like explaining to your friends how they're getting ripped off at the big box store by buying grass seed with MAYBE 50% seed by weight, using cultivars that no one has ever heard of with other crop seed + w**d seed combining for nearly 2% of the bag. Trust us, we're very very cool. Even our moms think so.

It's a unique time in the Midwest right now... Your friends in warmer states are enjoying backyard barbecues, playing with the dogs and kids in the yard, and the fresh smell of a new bag of grass seed. The staples of Spring. Us in the Midwest? We're once again reaching out for our heaviest coats as we prepare for 'third winter' - the winter after mud season but right before 'real spring'. It's okay friends - grit your teeth, pretend to be happy for that one friend in North Carolina where its 72 and sunny, and patiently wait for winter to end. We promise it'll be over by... June.
