Last week we brought together regional leaders, employers, educators, economic development professionals, and community partners for the State of the Regional Workforce Conference!

As part of the conference, our board members participated in a guided tour of the Port of Brownsville to experience firsthand the impact of major regional projects and the workforce opportunities they help create. This morning, we had the privilege of hosting our SEAL Employer Recognition Breakfast, celebrating the incredible employers who helped make the Summer Earn & Learn (SEAL) Program a success! 👏

Through SEAL, students with disabilities have the opportunity to spend approximately 8 weeks working as interns, gaining valuable real-world work experience, developing workplace skills, building confidence, and discovering their potential.

But these opportunities wouldn’t be possible without employers willing to open their doors and invest in the next generation of talent. 💙

To all of our participating employers, thank you for believing in these students, providing meaningful experiences, and helping them build skills that can support their long-term success. Your partnership makes a difference!
