Recently after reviewing some utilities bills for an indoor cultivation client, we noticed they had been assessed sales tax from OGE for their electricity use. Generally this is to be expected, except this client has an agriculture sales tax exemption and with their building being used exclusively for cultivation, we knew this wasn’t right. 🤔
Knowing what we know about sales tax in Oklahoma, we knew we could get a refund for sales tax paid that shouldn’t have been. After collecting the necessary documents, a trip was made to the Oklahoma Tax Commission today for hand delivery of our >$12,000 refund request. 😮
